Creating your own DIY Ghost Yard Decorations for Halloween is a great way to make your outdoor space spooky and fun. Here are some step-by-step instructions on how to create these ghastly decorations.

First, gather the materials needed for this project: white fabric, cardboard, scissors, a ruler, a marker, fabric glue or hot glue gun, string, and white, purple, or orange LED string lights.

Cut the fabric into strips about 8 inches wide and 20 inches long. Take one strip of fabric and fold it in half lengthwise. Cut the folded edge to create a jagged design for the flowing bottom of your ghost.

You can also use scissors to create eyes, nose, and mouth on the other side of the fabric strip. Alternatively, markers or paint can be used to decorate your garden ghost.

Take your cardboard and measure out two circles that are slightly larger than your ghost’s head shape – these will be used as stabilizers for the ghosts’ heads. Glue each circle onto either side of the fabric strip with either fabric or hot glue. Then attach string lights using either type of glue.

Finally, twist the ends of the fabric strip around each other and secure with a knot to create the ghost’s neck. If you want a three-dimensional round head use a light plastic or foam ball to create the head.

Hang these ghosts up in strategic locations in your yard from trees, lights, and around corners. Add clusters of electric flickering tea lights or string lights to the area around the ghosts to create a spooky effect that will keep the neighborhood talking for days.
